Government Contracts Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Under the supervision of Government Controller and Government Financial Analysts this position is responsible for supporting and collaborating with Project Managers and Government Finance and Contracts Team to maintain compliance with governmental funding terms and conditions related to sub-awards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Provide support to Project Managers and others to ensure organizational compliance with Uniform Grant Guidance related to contract sub recipients
• Perform sub-recipient monitoring activities
• Assessment of sub-recipient risk, and coordination with Project Managers to complete required monitoring documentation
• Review Sub-recipient (and other major subcontractor) billings and supporting documentation to identify contract allow-ability
• Gain knowledge and familiarity with governmental cost principles and contractual terms and conditions for a variety of governmental funders
• Analyze and reconcile contract financial information related to billings, budgets and variances
• Communicate with sub recipients and others about billing deficiencies and coordinate the corrective action efforts
• Prepare and maintain internal control documentation and support periodic internal and external audits
• Support internal efforts to improve government processes through technology or quality improvements
Skill/Experience/Education Mandatory:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Uniform Grant Guidance strongly preferred
• Candidates with a AA degree in Accounting or Finance, and 2+ years of experience in a government contract compliance role will be considered
• Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Uniform Grant Guidance strongly preferred
• Proven ability to interpret, explain, and apply complicated rules, regulations, and policies
• Proven ability to assess risk, apply business judgement, and collaborate with others to problem solve and facilitate work
• Strong analytical skills and an advanced Microsoft Excel user
• Working knowledge of SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
